Mother's Day Weekend

Well, this was my very first Mother's Day. And I had a blast......Isaac and I played during the day (when he wasn't sleeping) and that night Dell and Isaac took me out to Outback Steakhouse. It's been YEARS since I've been to one, but it was really good. I don't eat steak very often, so I decided to get one and it was scrupmtous. They also got me a gorgeous ring so that I can always remember my very first Mother's Day.
Then Tuesday was Isaac's 4-month checkup. He is TWO feet tall, and weighs 12lbs, 8oz, and his head circumfrance is 15.5in. I keep looking at him thinking he is getting so big...and he is...but then I looked up his percentile online and he is still at 5% - 10%. BUT keep in mind that he weighed 4lb 13oz at birth, so he's gained about 7.5 pounds. So, since he was 5 weeks early, when I subtract a month he is above the 25% for weight and right at the 50% for height and well, his head is still a little small at the 10% mark. All in all, he is very happy and healthy and we are so blessed more and more every day. Oh and many of you will be happy to know that I don't have to worry about his poop anymore. LOL! The doctor said that as long as he's eating and peeing......and poops every couple of days at least......he's fine. YEA!!
Now let me start by saying that I have been desperately trying to get myself on a schedule, and since I've actually written my schedule on paper, for the most part it really works. However, for whatever reason I didn't get to bed 'til 11:00pm last night. I think it was probably due to traffic, because I got home a little later than usual too. Anyway, Isaac ate at 7:00 and I was HOPING at 10:00pm or 10:30pm, but he was SOUND asleep right after he finished his 7:00pm bottle. The funny thing is that at 2:00am I was awakened by little baby laughing and cooing noises. I couldn't help but crack up. (Ok, so he's 4-months old and we still keep him in the bassonette beside our bed...I don't know - or care - if this makes us good or bad parents. LOL!!) Anyway, so I peeked in his bed and there he is, wide awake looking at me just smiling and laughing......in such a good mood. And even though I had just gone to bed 3 hours ago, I didn't mind waking up to that sweet, sweet sound. So, I scooped him up so he wouldn't wake Dell up and we went into the family room and played for about 20 - 30 minutes and I fed him after that and he went right back to sleep......cuddled up with me on the couch 'til I woke up at 4:00am. I loved it......

And now what I've been waiting for for the past few weeks is finally here......our family pictures. I think they came out great......if I do say so myself. LOL!!

So sweet......

I just love this one of the two of them...

I love his eyes in this one......

This cracks me up......

This is the sweater my mom made for me when i was born...she just put a blue ribbon in it for Isaac.

I love his expression here...it looks like he's in the middle of saying something. LOL!

FINALLY, a little smile......
