Happy Easter!!!

Easter Egg Hunts...and more...

Thursday, April 9, 2009......Easter Egg Hunt at the daycare

Isaac's daycare had an Easter egg hunt on Thursday and it didn't take him long to figure out what he needed to do.

Here he is finding those eggs. I just LOVED watching him get so excited everytime he would find an egg. He would run to the egg, pick it up and hold it up as he ran back to give it to me. I tried to show him that he needed to put it in his basket, but he didn't do that very many times. I honestly think he was just surprised to see me in the middle of the day at his school. He was so fun to watch, I didn't want to leave.

And it was so fun to watch him with his teachers. They are so great with him. Here he is chasing Miss Vonda around. She was spinning him around and having a great time with him.

He was absolutely all over the place and having such a great time. One of the other mothers (in the background) also came up to watch the egg hunt. you can see she gathered quite a crowd as she would sing and play different little games iwth the kids. He was over with them for a little while, then came running back to me...laughing the whole way. SUCH a little angel.

As you can see by now, I love taking candid pictures of him. Well, when I can get them. He usually notices me with the camera and starts smiling right away...he just looks like such a big boy in this picture. Looking to see what everyone else is doing, but coming to check in with me.

Unfortunately, I wasn't feeling very well RIGHT before it was time for us to leave for the church so I had to sit and relax for a few minutes with my feet up. I think I was just doing too much too fast. Anyway, as a result of that, we missed Isaac's age group and did the hunt with the 1st thru 3rd graders (I think that was the age group). Anyway, They were a little (ok, a LOT) quicker and more competitive when it came to gathering the eggs.

We headed to the back of the field where most of the eggs were, but by the time we go close, ALL the eggs were GONE! So, I looked around and saw an EMPTY green eg on the ground, closed it up and pointed it out to Isaac. Bless his heart, he was SO HAPPY to have that one little empty egg in his basket. He was moving the basket around so the egg would make noise hitting up against the sides of his basket. It was SOOOO cute. Some of the adult workers saw what was going on and went to get him more eggs. There were NO OTHER KIDS ANYWHERE. So they started dropping a few eggs over the fence for him, and while i was trying to get his attention to pick up a particular egg, out of NOWHERE about three or four kids ran up and took all the eggs in his little area then ran away. So the workers waited 'til they left and dropped a few more eggs one at a time so he would get them. But if he saw who dropped the egg he would go over and pick it up and hand it back to them. Such a sweetie. The whole thing was cracking me up...it's not like he was going to eat the candy in the eggs, so at least the other kids got the eggs with the candy in them. It really was HILARIOUS to watch...
And here he is trying to open one of the eggs he got. I love this picture...

These kids were emptying their eggs and throwing the empty eggs behind them. So, here is Isaac handing an empty egg back to one of the kids who threw it. So funny...he's just into everything...and never met a stranger.

Awww, and here we all are with the Easter Bunny. Isaac was a little freaked out about the big bunny standing behind him, but finally faced forward for a second for a picture...but wouldn't let go of Dell's shirt for ANYTHING! :-)

This is Jeremiah, Marlaina's son, watching Isaac while playing outside. He was SOOO good with him. Isaac bent down to pick up the half egg that he has here, and Jeremiah put his hand over the brick so Isaac wouldn't hit his head when he stood back up. So sweet......

And, of course, here he is spending time with Marlaina...loving every minute of it. :-)

A few weeks ago was picture day at his daycare and I took these pictures to send to Oma and Papaw so they could see his little Easter outfit. But he would not stay still long enough for me to take a good picture. I think the first one here is probably the best I got. The shoes were CRACKING ME UP, though. They look HUGE on him. Maybe because he has shorts on... They are the right size for him, but they are just so bulky I couldn't stop laughing.

Awww, daddy just got home so he was sprinting to the door. He is still so funny when Dell gets home. He will stop whatever he's doing to go greet him.

And in the kitchen, he was walking toward me as I was backing up. LOL!! Then he ran around me and into the office. He just thought the whole idea of me trying to get a picture of him was HYSTERICAL or someting... :-)

Finally got away from me here...and shut the door to the office. He looks so BIG in this picture.

Here we are one weekend in March, I think, at the outlet mall by our house. I thought it would be interesting to see if he liked this flying dumbo ride, but...not so much. He kept grabbing at his dad to SAVE HIM and get him out of the thing.

On our way home from daycare one day last week, I had to stop at Walgreens for some allergy medicine and figured I would get him a little snack. So, I let him go to town on this Reece's egg. He LOVED it!! Of course, Reece's cups are my favorite, too.

Sunday, April 5, 2009......Houston Shell Open at Redstone Golf Club in humble, TX

Wow, what a weekend this was. We drove to Dallas for my friend Kelly's baby shower on Saturday morning. Then headed back to Houston for the open on Sunday morning. I think it was a little too much for Isaac. We were at the open for a few hours, and this is at the end of a fit...he was actually smiling, but I missed it. Then he kept turning around to see what he was standing in front of. Poor child was so tired from the busy weekend, when we went to the gift store he saw this little golf club and didn't want anyone to touch it. Even when he had it in his hand he was freaking out. So after we paid for it, we decided that it was time to go. And on the walk back to the car he fell asleep in the sstroller all curled up to the club. LOL! He had put up with so much that weekend with all the driving we did in two days time. When we noticed that he was asleep we decided to go back in and look around a little more...watch a little more of the actual golfing. He stayed asleep (and I wish I had a picture of him asleep with that club), and we walked up to the 18th hole to see who was golfing. I just knew he would stay asleep since everyone is supposed to be quiet on the course. Well, they started announcing the players and I think on of them was from Houston, so the crowd went WILD......and so did Isaac. Then everyone started turning around looking at me as if to tell me to make him quiet. So, in my normal, not so quiet voice, I looked around and said, What? Your woke him up......LOL! Well, that was the last of the open that we saw. And this picture was taken on the way out, back to the car......again. :-)

He fell asleep in the car and stayed asleep until the next morning. Counting the car ride, I think he slept for about 12 or 13 hours. Poor baby......
