Last week was Isaac's 9-month appointment. He was congested (i know, what's new - poor baby), so I had the doctor check him out for that too. Here are his stats: 27" tall and 17-1/2 pounds. Since the congestion wasn't in his lungs, no prescription. "Keep using the saline drops with the aspirator, and the humidifier at night." Ok, I've been doing all that for a WHILE now. And no new results. I'm tired of torturing my poor child with that darn aspirator. He gets SO worked up when I use it on him. He's almost 10 months old and already had two doctors......and they are on COMPLETE opposite ends of the spectrum. His first doctor (and current doctor) will not prescribe anything to any child under two years old. The second doctor will write a prescription for you when you walk in the door. Sometimes she's too quick to write one (for me). I want a doctor who will tell me the "natural" way to help Isaac, but when that doesn't work, will write a prescription for him. He's SOOO CONGESTED right now and I'm getting so frustrated with the doctor he currently goes to. And the other one is SO far for me to go to. Maybe I should just take him to doctor #1 for his check-ups and to doctor #2 for everything else. LOL!! Am I asking for too much? I just want a happy medium.
Ok, now for the fun stuff. After his doctor appointment, he wasn't contagious so I took him to daycare and went to my doctor (dermatologist) for a biopsy (benign). Dell went with me to my appointment since I was a little freaked out. Then we both went to pick up Isaac. He was on the opposite side of the room standing next to the crib. He got SOOOO excited when he saw Dell, it was so cute! He wanted to RUN to him, but had to wait for the teacher to hold his hands so he could walk over to him. He couldn't walk fast enough......he is so precious. And I have to admit that I was just a little bit jealous. I might not get that excitement from him when I pick him up, but he ALWAYS has a HUGE smile for me when he sees me. And sometimes he does get excited and I can't seem to pick him up fast enough.
For a while now, when he's crawling around I can tell he wants to walk so badly. He'll stop crawling and he'll have his hands on the ground still and put both of his feet on the ground. He does this alot now.
Here he is making a face......
