Some Recent Changes

Ok, it is really taking me FOREVER to updat this blog. LOL!! I am so horrible at this. Alright...enough self-loathing. LOL!! Here are a few updates on our little man...

Isaac is growing so quickly......I swear he's gained a pound over the weekend. LOL!! I've been trying to find a formula that works for him so he will stop spitting up so much. Bless his little heart... Well, I think I found one. He is now on Enfamil Enfacare (and MAN is he gaining weight). He's not spitting up NEARLY as much, but I also switched his bottles. I have been sending him to daycare with the Soothie bottles, but feeding him at home mainly with the Playtex Ventair...which is why he wasn't spitting up as much at home as he was at daycare (except for those rare occasions when I would feed him from the Soothie bottles at home). He is SOO much happier now. So I'm glad we got that figured out.

A few updates on him......

• he is now mimicing a little bit. Specifically, his tongue... A few weeks ago I started stucking my tongue out at him and moving it around with my lips closed. Well, now he does that and thinks it is the funniest thing (and I do too). And even though I'm sure I'll get on to him later for sticking his tongue out at me when he's five, right now it's the cutest thing. LOL!

• We're still working on sitting up, but he ALMOST has it......so VERY soon I'm sure I'll be updating with that. But for now, he'll sit up for a few seconds before he topples over.
  
• His bath time is HILARIOUS.....no one knows what I'm talking about when I tell them he reminds me of the Lord of the Dance guy. LOL!! I bathe him in the little plastic tub with the sling since he's not sitting up yet. And he has almost outgrown that. His feet touch the end of the little tub so he keeps them straight and just KICKS away and splashes like crazy. And of course I just sit there and CRACK up!!! Well, Dell and I both do. Oh, it's so funny......

• Another thing that's changed a bit is that he is into TOUCHING now. When I feed him he will pet my arm or shirt or whatever is around. Also, if I sit in the back with him and rest my arm on his car seat, he'll just put his little hand on my arm......it's so sweet. Also, in his room, there is a Winnie the Pooh rug that I hung up on the wall right above the changing table. So when I finish changing him, I'll stand him up and put his hand on it so he can feel how soft it is. He gets so mesmerized by it...

This week I'm trying out a new work schedule. As many of you know, my old schedule (as of last week) was 7:30am - 5:30pm Monday thru Thursday (or sometimes 8:00am - 6:00pm if I was running late) and 7:30am - 11:30am on Fridays (which I would always stay past anyway to make up time). Well, last Thursday I had an errund to run (ONE) and I didn't get home 'til 7:30pm, then when I got home I realized that we ran out of Isaac's new formula (which I can only find in the SMALL cans for some reason :-( ). So I went back out and had to go to TWO different stores and got home at 8:30pm......THAT'S JUST INSANE......am I the only one who sees that? Anyway, hopefully when my boss returns from her vacation she won't mind if I start working 7:30am - 4:30pm every day!! I'm trying it out this week (while she's gone) and yesterday it felt like I had SOO much extra time. I got home at about 5:45pm (I left a little later than 4:30). It was GREAT!!!

Funny, that my sister thought we put goggles on him...LOL!! Nope, here he is in his STYLISH sunglasses Jana picked up for him.

He was so funny, when I had him, I put him in the water about chest high and moved him around from side to side and when I stopped he picked his hands up and and down real fast and splashed himself. I thought he was going to get mad but he just cracked up and did it again.

When Dell was trying to feed him, he kept grabbing on to the spoon, so he's FEEDING HIMSELF. LOL!!

He was really sitting up here for a few seconds at a time, but he thought it was so funny having his shirt on his head like this...man, he's getting so BIG!!

We went to Kemah last weekend with Kayla, and it was TOO hot, so unfortunately we didn't stay very long......but here is Isaac making a wish in the coin fountain with daddy...

And here they are at the......I don't even know what to call this......oh well.

And last week Kayla and I went for a walk / jog while Dell and Isaac followed on the bike (his first bike ride). It looked so funny......like he was flying or something...LOL!
