We had such a busy and fun weekend. Saturday some vendors from work held a BBQ, so we thought we would head on out and gobble up some free food. Then Sunday we found out about this place called Bayou Bend, so we thought we would go check it out since it was family day!
I love it when I can get him in the middle of a good laugh. He was eating a pudding cup and I just thought it was so funny when he started to lick it out of the container and ended up with it between his eyes.
One of the vendors gave Isaac this hat. He looks so grown up in it. He looks older than two to me in this picture.

After the BBQ we decided to take the kids downtown to Discovery Green. There is so much to do out there and the weather wasn't too bad (at least not when we first got there). We left when it started to get a little cooler.

Awww, Isabella and her many smiles. There were a lot more, I only posted a few.

There was a hot air balloon down there...so he was checking that out.
On the way home, we saw this monument that we have seen before but never stopped at before. It's for fallen HPD officers. And OF COURSE Isaac saw it from the road and wanted to go "UPSTAIRS..."!!
Sunday after church we went to Bayou Bend. But to get to the house we had to cross this suspension bridge. Isaac is so dramatic, he really turned around with his hand over his mouth when he saw it. Actually, I probably said something and this was his reaction.
When we first got there, he was fascinated by the fountain. He stood right there for the longest time. He would also point to it and say "water" when anyone would stop to look at it.
He is so friendly. This lady and her grandson stopped to look at the water and Isaac wanted to show her his rock. Then had a big conversation about the water. Such a sweetie.
And Isabella woke up long enough to get in a few pictures...she ate when we first got there and was out almost the whole time.
Isaac found some "upstairs"!
And he also found a friend...Annabella...and they were inseperable for at least two hours. You can see with his arm gesture here that he's telling her to "'mere".
And now he's chasing her. Funny that his shirt says "Chicks Dig Me"! :-)
He went up and down this stairway ALL DAY! I can't even tell you how many times. Soon after he broke away from the fountain, he saw the stairs and took off running for them. And since this place wasn't very crowded, we just let him run.
Some of the things he's doing and saying now. He talks up a storm all the time...I don't think he stops talking when he's awake. The other night while we were eating and I was trying to get him to eat a little more, he says "no, I don't want it!" (I don't know how he's growing since it doesn't seem like he eats much). Oh and about a month or two ago he comes out singing, "shake your booty". I think there was music in the background and he started dancing as he sang that phrase. Now when he hears music and starts to dance, he says, "go Isaac..." I was trying to get him to dance one night and started saying, "go Isaac, go Issac go..." He will also try and mimic someone that's dancing. There was a Michael Jackson tribute on a few weeks ago and he just stared at the tv while Michael was dancing, then started tapping his foot on the ground and came up with some moves of his own.
