Our Thanksgiving Vacation

For Thanksgiving we were able to take the whole week off and go up to Oklahoma to spend it with family. The first few days were relaxing and fun we slept in, and didn't have to race anyone to take a shower (and we did a little shopping). My sister Wendy and her husband and family arrived at my parents house late Wednesday evening. Then my sister Brenda flew in from Florida Thursday afternoon. My brother Jimmy and his kids got there Friday afternoon. And my younger brother Robert and his family live there, so they were in and out during the week. So, if you need a final count, that's a total of 21 people for Thanksgiving dinner (which we ALWAYS do on Friday). Friday and Saturday were SO BUSY. I honestly don't know how we fit so much into those two days.

Here are a few pics of Isaac getting used to the tree and other decorations.

We were up late Wednesday visiting with Wendy, Shane and the kids (Robert, Angela and their kiddos came over for dinner and visiting also - and they left to go home pretty late too). It was nice catching up for a little bit. Those moment were few and far between with that many people in one place. :-) But it was so awesome to have everyone in one place.

Thursday: We picked Brenda up from the airport, then headed to Chandler to visit. We made it over there after everyone had already left. :-( We did stay and visit for a little while with Dell's sister and brother-in-law, Regina and Dino......and his nephew Jayton. We got back to Collinsville (my parents house) pretty late. On the way, we drove by the shopping area in Owasso to see if there was anyone in line at Best Buy or other stores. It was FREEZING outside and sure enough at about midnight or eleven (I can't remember what time it was) there was already a line around the building. People even bring their KIDS out there in that weather......CRAZY!! When we got back to the house my parents and sister Wendy were still up chatting so I stayed to chat with them......I can't even remember what we were all talking about. And ended up going to bed at about 3am or something insane like that. We were saying the next morning that we should have just stayed up and went shopping like we planned. But Friday was going to be BUSY even without the shopping.

I thought this was so cute......Isaac and Mikey watching Tom & Jerry (I think). I remember seeing a picture of my brothers like this a LONG time ago......there is about a 16-year age difference and my brother Jimmy was home from the army and Robert just loved spending time with him......anyway, I digress......

It was SOOO funny. The minute the kids came in the door, they JETTED over to the tree to "find their name". I remember doing that...then after they found it, they camped out by their gift.

Friday: We woke up and got ready for the day......which was Thanksgiving dinner and Wyatt's birthday party......then SANTA'S HOUSE!! Dell and I went out shopping a LITTLE bit. Basically to get Isaac's "First Birthday" onsie. Well, pictures say it best so here are some shots of the day. I thought I had some pictures of the CHAOS of our self-serving Thanksgiving dinner. Now that was a site to see. SO MUCH AWESOME FOOD, and everybody reaching over everybody else to get to it. I think mom got some pics of that, so we'll have to wait on those.

Before dinner I saw Isaac all by himself playing with this present......I had to take a piture of it because it was actually his present. Like he really knew, but it was just funny.

Here is Wyatt's 2nd birthday party right after our Thanksgiving Feast.

Isaac's first reaction to Santa......

Ok, maybe NOW he really noticed that he didn't recognize this man. LOL!!

He's just making sure he minds his manners, I guess. LOL!!

Saturday: Family pictures, Isaac's first birthday party, then Mayson and Joselyn's birthday party.

Two hours after his last nap......RIGHT after his party. LOL!!

This was at the same time......I guess they both got a little tired from all the festivities.
